WCR does the United Van Lines & Mayflower Transit Grand Banquet!
4276 Hey WCR great show in Palm Spring last Saturday evening. Your show moved us back to the late 60's and 70"s and excited the crowd. We could tell you were having as much fun as the folks in the ballroom rocking away to your hits. |

Show at Classic Center, Athens GA
4258 My family also attended the Athens,GA show and had a great time. My 10 & 17 year old sons were with us and it was a great family event, even though I embarrassed my son by dancing around all night. Just couldn't help myself!! A wonderful trip down memory lane for my husband & I. We really enjoyed the night and wished it had lasted for hours longer!! |

Show in Athens, Georgia
4257 This was an absolutely fabulous show! Especially when the people in the top were invited down, my family and I were really impresses with that. We wound up sitting about 10 rows back, and it was incredible. My four-year old daughter is a classic rocker to the core! One of her favorite songs is Sweet Home Alabama (unfortunately, she fell asleep - can you believe that - just before Randall came on to perform). We all agreed it was one of the best concerts any of us have been to. Keep up the good work! |

A Belated Happy Birthday to One of the "Good Guys."
4182 Happy Birthday Michael - from a Blast From Your Past. (And Goldy's Too!) I was your agent at APA in 67/68 when sookie came out. Remember our first gig in Hawaii? I'm not sure which of you guys went Fluming Trailin' down that concrete ditch' with me up at Sacred Falls on Oahu's north east shore. That was a trip I'll always remember. and the time we played Tahoe and we all (or Goldy;-) got kicked out of Harrah's because our hair was too long. Well, I've lived at Lake Tahoe now for 32 years. I've seen John a few times. And some of the others from - back in the day. If you ever head up here please get in contact with us so I can show you, a fellow Cancer, around. All the best Michael - Brian Williams |

For Paula in Minneapolis
4180 Moderator, would you please forward my name and email address to Paula in Minneapolis who kindly responded to my post about Castaways bassist Roy Hensley? If she wouldn't mind, I'd like to exchange a couple of emails on Roy, as she was friends with him. |

FARM AID 2009
4177 Nick, we opened for you when you were with Strarwolf in 86 at an outdoor show (ABATE Rally) in N.D. After the show you stayed up with us all night...almost till the sun came up...telling us stories about the "good ole days." It was a blast. Band I was with at the time was "Milos on the moon" LOL! We had a roadie who was 6 foot 6 inches...tall and looked like Jesus. LOL. he was HUGE! You and I and he all played a game of hacky-sack in front of the stage after the crowd had cleared....at about 3:30 AM !!!! You also SAVED the show on the second night by letting us play on your bands gear rather than us use our own and have to waste time tearing down before you guys went on. If I did not thank you for that then...well here 22 years later I say thank you for making that such a great show for us. We are thinking of putting together a multi-band show next summer (2009) in that state (ND) and wondered if you folks might have any interest in that type of gig. Plans are still in the infancy stage; basically looking to see who might be interested and available at that time. Best regards to you, the band and the crew. |

Happy Birthday Michael!

Roy Hensley response
4169 To the person inquiring about Roy Hensley. (posted in May) I can't believe it's been that long since he passed away, already. He was a pretty good friend of mine. Some people saw him as a jerk, but we had a really good friendship. I thought he was crazy fun! I used to see him in the Castaways as a teeny bopper, then met up with him again working with Nick in a version of one of Nick's "wolf" bands in Minneapolis - "Timberwolf". Then hung out with him some years later when he reconnected with Denny Craswell and formed a second version of the Castaways. I miss him lots. |
